For the 2020-21 season, Union Berlin has brought goalkeeper Loris Karius back to his home country.
The 27-year-old, who joined Besiktas in August 2018, secured a return to his homeland on Monday, confirmed the club’s official website.
Due to a dispute over the payment of his salary, goalkeeper Karius terminated a two-year loan spell with Turkish giants Besiktas in May.
Karius’ deal with Liverpool expires next June. But he has already left Liverpool again on a season-long loan contract to join Bundesliga side Union Berlin.
