Transfer News Football – Brahim Diaz Joins AC Milan on Loan
Milan is reportedly spending €3 million on a two-year loan for Brahim Diaz from Real Madrid.
The 22-year-old signed the contract at the club’s Casa Milan headquarters yesterday. However, Milan did not formally announce until this evening.
The contract reportedly includes a buy option and a counter-option, but the official statements don’t confirm any such deal details.
The two clubs’ statements only mention that this is a two-year loan deal that will end on June 30, 2023.
Despite no confirmed buyout option, it’s a common assumption that Milan can buy Brahim Diaz outright for around €22 million.
In the meantime, Real Madrid should also have the option to repurchase him for €27 million.
The Spain international will wear the Number 10 jersey, which he inherits from Hakan Calhanoglu. The latter left as a free agent for their city rivals Inter.
Milan gave out the official announcement by stating: “AC Milan is delighted to announce the signing of Brahim Abdelkader Díaz from Real Madrid CF on a temporary basis for two years. The contract ties the football player to the Rossoneri Club until 30 June 2023.”
They then summed up his stats so far: “Brahim, after scoring 7 goals in 39 appearances with AC Milan last season, will continue to be a Rossoneri player, wearing the number 10 jersey.”
Milan also published a photo series celebrating the football transfer on loan and Diaz’s return to the Madrid club.
