Stade Brestois have signed midfielder Pierre Lees-Melou from Norwich City on a three year deal. They announced: “Stade Brestois is proud to announce the signing for 3 seasons (+1 optional) of Pierre Lees-Melou (29 years old). The midfielder will return to Ligue 1 Uber Eats in Brest. Which he left a year ago for the English club Norwich City.
“Very good move made by the Stade Brestois which has just secured the services for 3 years of Pierre Lees-Melou. In search of a reinforcement in the midfield, Grégory Lorenzi was therefore able to convince an element referenced in the French elite and who had chosen to try an experience abroad last season. Hired last summer in the ranks of Norwich City (relegated a few weeks ago to the Championship), Pierre Lees-Melou chose Brest for his return to France and will bring a big plus to the collective of Michel Der Zakarian.
“With 151 matches in the French elite (23 goals and 18 assists). He arrives in Finistère with solid experience. And therefore the additional baggage of a contested season in the very tough Premier League. One more safe bet in the workforce of a Stade Brestois. Which has already made good progress in this summer transfer window 2022. By enlisting Mathias Pereira Lage, Noah Fadiga and Karamoko Dembélé and by managing to extend Youcef Belaïli. Pierre Lees-Melou will wear number 20.”
