Sergej Milinkovic-Savic joined Lazio from Belgian club Genk in 2015. Since then, the midfielder has made nearly 230 appearances for the club. Milinkovic Savic became the club’s most prolific midfielder surpassing Pavel Nedved with forty eight goals for the club.
The 27 year old forever has been linked with a move away from the club to various clubs across the continent. Currently there are reports suggesting Manchester United and Juventus are interested in Sergej.
Recently, when asked about the Serbian’s availability in the transfer market Lazio’s president Claudio Lotito, earlier revealed that they would be willing to let go of their prized possession for an exorbitant amount.
“Milinkovic-Savic is not for sale.
“In order for someone to buy, there is a need for someone to sell and for me, in some cases, human values come before economic considerations.
“If a big club come up with a big offer, I would ask him what he wants to do.
“In the past, I turned down an indecent offer of €140m to keep him.”
However, now the Lazio president while speaking with Italian daily Il Messaggero, outright refused Sergej Milinkovic-Savic availability for sale. In particular he ruled out any sales to a fellow Serie A club.
“Sergej is not for sale”, he said.
“And he will certainly not go to Juventus.”
