Before the transfer window closes, Antonio Rudiger is set to leave Chelsea. He has decided to move after being left out of Frank Lampard’s squad for a second successive game.
Rudiger was first frozen out of the Chelsea squad, during their loss to Liverpool.
Now Telegraph Sport announced that Rudiger was once again excluded for tonight’s Carabao Cup clash against championship club Barnsley.
And this has supposedly sealed his departure from Stamford Bridge, most likely on loan, until the new transfer window closes.
Rudiger and his agent are now looking to find a fitting club for the German international to enter.
Paris Saint-Germain and Napoli have emerged as two likely options. But it is uncertain whether they will be interested in the Ligue 1 champions or the Italians.
Asked specifically if before the transfer window closes, either Rudiger or Hudson-Odoi could leave, Lampard said: “I’m going to skirt around the issue. It remains to be seen.”
