According to Forbes, Cristiano Ronaldo made $105 million in the last year, before tax, taking his total value over the mark of $1 billion. The Juventus star thus became the first footballer in history to become a billionaire.

The magazine called the 35-year-old attacker the fourth-highest-earning celebrity in 2020, behind tennis star Roger Federer, rapper Kanye West, and Kylie Jenner. Jenner has since been established as a liar, having faked her billionaire status.

Since 2016, he has been tied to a profitable lifetime deal with Nike, and is connected to several other big-name brands.

The five-time winner of the Ballon d’Or is also establishing a business empire, with his fashion and lifestyle brand, hotel chain and the CR7 museum in his home city of Funchal in Madeira.

In his 17 years as a professional player, Portugal International is thus estimated to have made $650 million in earnings, with the more earned from endorsements and other business avenues.
