Managers’ reaction

The coach of Real Sociedad , Imanol Alguacil: “I’m the first who always wants to go out like this, but I’ve already said it. It’s impossible. You saw how Villarreal won in Europe, Betis too, Real Madrid… they’re all the teams in Europe. It can’t be that we’re the only team that always plays an exquisite game and more chances than the rival. In addition, in the last game there were many changes and people who came in from injury. Those changes responded to the fatigue that there was.

“I have been insisting and I am not going to shut up, because that comes after the break is inhuman. It has never existed in LaLiga. I no longer say anything after the World Cup. And especially if we happen in Europe, which I hope so, that has never existed. What you cannot pretend is that every three days the team plays the game or competes as it does.”

Espanyol coach Diego Martinez: “This is corrected with a lot of work and confidence because we have to grow. We are aware of our reality, we have to look for the best version of each one and we have to keep rowing because the lack of points affects that confidence and there are no magic recipes.”
