Sunday, 22nd May 2022
4:00pm
Arsenal 5-1 Everton
A disappointing end to a wonderful season for the Gunners as they miss out on Champions League football yet again. Not even a monstrous win could do it for them, thanks to back to back losses.
Everton, having survived relegation, did not have much to fight for and were dominated by a much better side.
4:00pm
Brentford 1-2 Leeds United
An incredible afternoon for the Peacocks as they took three points and retained their top flight status against 10 man Brentford in a fixture where one point was enough.
4:00pm
Brighton & Hove Albion 3-1 West Ham United
An extremely disappointing result for the Hammers as they missed out on Europa League football. A win for them would have put them ahead of Manchester United in 6th place.
A handy result for Brighton who managed to finish in the top half of the table.
4:00pm
Burnley 1-2 Newcastle United
Burnley failed to get past this do or die situation and will compete in the Championship next season.
4:00pm
Chelsea 2-1 Watford
Watford in the championship and Chelsea in the UCL next season.
4:00pm
Crystal Palace 1-0 Manchester United
Yet another positive result for Vieira’s men. United on the other hand despite losing points will not play in the Conference League, thanks to West Ham dropping points.
4:00pm
Leicester City 4-1 Southampton
The Foxes finish a rather underwhelming season on a high. The Saints meanwhile will have to improve a lot over the summer to stay in the Prem come 2024.
4:00pm
Norwich City 0-5 Tottenham Hotspur
Spurs manage to stay in 4th place in style against a demotivated Norwich side.
Premier League: Title race
4:00pm
Liverpool 3-1 Wolves
Heartbreak for the Reds as they were just minutes away from getting their second league title in three seasons. Furthermore, keeping the quadruple alive.
Wolves were able to regain their solidity in defense for much of the game but ended up second best.
4:00pm
Manchester City 3-2 Aston Villa
Yet another season defining 3-2 win at the Etihad for the Citizens. Who could have gone trophyless if not for those few minutes of magic.
