Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil is set to remain in the Emirate this summer, according to the player’s agent.
The Germans have enjoyed a longer time in the starting lineup since Mikel Arteta took over, and Ozil’s agent Erkut Sogut has confirmed that the playmaker will make a decision on his future next year.
Since arriving from Real Madrid in 2013, he has scored 44 goals from 254 appearances in all competitions for the Gunners.
For the past couple of years, the future of player has been a key topic of debate, with the Turkish side Fenerbahce said to be the first-choice destination for the midfielder should he part ways with the Gunners.
However, speaking to beIN Sport, Sogut said: “Mesut has a one-year contract. There will be no change in this regard. So what happens next, time will show.
“Mesut will be 32 years old and will have a few more years in his career. Mesut and his family will make a decision. It will be the best of all.
“I cannot speak about Mesut and Fenerbahce because I have no right to speak on this matter according to the principle of confidentiality.”
