Olivier Giroud is currently France’s second highest goal scorer. With 49 goals in 114 appearances for the Blues, he is just two goals shy of Henry’s all time record.. However, with Mbape’s brilliance and Benzema’s return chances have been limited for the Milan striker.

However, he did reveal his frustration of not being assured a spot. But he assures he would deliver in the World cup if given a chance.
Giroud said: “As you can see from last week’s game am glad to be here. I’m at the manager’s disposal, I’m fully inside the team. Scoring goals is nice, it means that even with advanced age, if you can say so, one it’s still there. I always have this desire to bring a small added value to the team.
“I am not certain of Thierry’s record can be matched, but I am proud to have come this clos to a legend like him.
“The gaffer did mention thet the football is dynamic and static at the same time. And that creates a sense of insecurity.
