Newcastle talisman Bruno Guimaraes has revealed that he has discussed a potential deal with Real Madrid

Newcastle talisman Bruno Guimaraes has revealed that he has discussed a potential deal with Real Madrid. The midfielder has been being watched by Los Blancos for a while, but throughout the summer he stayed with Newcastle United and expressed his desire to become a “legend” at St James Park.

Guimares scored twice against Brentford for Newcastle on Saturday ( 5-1 ). He moved to Newcastle upon Tyne from Olympique Lyonnais in January for a maximum cost of 50.1 million euros and says he feels “at home”. The Brazilian told the Evening Chronicle, “The world’s best squad belongs to Real Madrid. And being the centre of attention is fun. However, it was only a casual talk; it had no real significance.”

Newcastle talisman Bruno Guimaraes expects his son will identify as a “Geordie”

Guimares expects to become a father this week and says that his son will identify as a “Geordie,” or indeed a fan of Newcastle. He loves living in England. “I never questioned the club’s plan, I have always had faith in it. I enjoy that because I’ve always wanted to play in the Premier League. Both the stadium and I love each other. I don’t bluff; I truly feel at home here. I want to make history here,” Newcastle talisman Bruno Guimaraes discussed.

The playmaker projected that Newcastle might finish in the top six at the beginning of the season. The Magpies nine games into the season are currently occupying that position. Guimares added, “I believe our team is capable of continuing this, but every game in the Premier League is difficult. This is only the start. At the end of the season, it’s crucial that we remain this way. It happens gradually, game by game, but winning is satisfying.”

His two goals against Brentford brought great joy to the 24-year-old midfielder. “It was one of the best days of my life. My first two goals of the season, while the coach (Eddie Howe, ed.) joked that I couldn’t head,” he added. Guimarães opened the score from a clever header into the far corner, later he made it 3-1 from a long shot. “I was also very happy with my second goal. I captured the ball and wanted to play, but I didn’t see anyone standing. At one point I thought but then I went for the shot,” Bruno concluded.
