Liverpool, who made it to the final of the UCL last season were favourites heading into this fixture. Napoli on the other hand with the departures they had, not much was expected of them.
The visitors conceded two penalties within the first fifteen minutes. They were lucky, as just one of them was converted. The club struck twice further, before the end of the half.
Zielenski wasted no time in the second half. He scored his second in the 47th minute of the fixture.
The only bright side of the Reds last night was Luis Diaz. The Colombian scored LFC’s first and only goal of the night.
