Peter Bosz: “I saw a lot of good things except for the outcome of the game. We should have defended better from set pieces, they are good at that. It’s hard but we lost because of it. We have to keep working on that, we don’t have a lot of tall players so unfortunately it can happen. The players did not let go even after the second goal. We scored only once unfortunately but the possibilities were there. We lost tonight but we played well, we did not deserve to lose, we had chances. I saw a team that fights, that is not afraid. We didn’t give up and almost scored another goal to tie the game. Today I saw a team that played with confidence, with a good mentality. The team played the way I want them to play. When you play like that you have to win. Hopefully this defeat will give us strength, we were better than a team like Monaco so that should give us confidence for the future. The players gave their all, even at the end I saw Karl Toko Ekambi sprinting in defense and that’s exactly the mindset I want to see.
Benoît Badiashile: “It’s always very important to win. At the end of the match it was a little more challenging to manage because Lyon went all out, but we managed to weather that — that’s the most important thing. We are really very happy because it was a big game where we managed to take home the three points.”
