Lazio is sweating over the wellbeing of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic. Multiple reports claim the player will undergo an MRI scan due to a traumatised knee later today.
Calciomercato.com lit the alarm about the scheduled MRI scan at Rome’s Padeia clinic, fearing the Serbian normally won’t be able to play for the first game against Atalanta on 24 June.
Tuttomercatoweb earlier reported that the midfielder was unable to complete training due to a knee problem and writes that the club expects a clear answer to the severity of the issue after the 17:00 GMT test.
Milinkovic-Savic has been a significant player, contributing four goals and five assists for Simone Inzaghi’s men in his 25 games.
Lazio stay second in the season, one point behind the leaders- Juventus, ahead of the resumption and expect to battle this summer for their third League title in the club’s history.
