Mbaye Niang has joined AJ Auxerre for one season, plus another optional one from Bordeaux

Mbaye Niang has joined AJ Auxerre for one season, plus another optional one from Bordeaux.

AJ Auxerre announced: “M’Baye Niang joins the AJA!

“The senegalese striker (27) has signed up with AJ Auxerre for one season, plus another optional one. He will wear number 11.

“One more international signed to AJA! A few days after the arrival of Gideon Mensah, it was M’Baye Niang’s turn to come and reinforce the Auxerre ranks. The 27-year-old Senegalese international striker has signed a contract for one season, plus another optional one, and will wear number 11.

“Trained in Caen, then passed through the prestigious AC Milan, Genoa, Torino and the Premier League (Watford), M’Baye Niang played last season at the Girondins de Bordeaux. Fast, powerful and good in the air, he has scored 70 goals since the start of his professional career.

“Welcome M’Baye!”

Les Girondins confirmed the same, stating: “Mbaye Niang leaves FC Girondins de Bordeaux. The attacker is transferred to AJ Auxerre.

“Born on December 19, 1994 in Meulan-en Yvelines, Mbaye Niang began his career at Stade Malherbe in Caen in 2011.

“The striker then played for several European and French clubs. He wears the colors of AC Milan, Montpellier, Genoa, Watford, Torino and Stade Rennais.

“After an experience in Saudi Arabia at Al Ahli SC, the player arrived at the Girondins in September 2021. He played 23 matches, scored 7 goals and delivered 2 assists in the Scapular jersey during the 2021/2022 season.

“We wish him a good continuation in the Yonne.”
