Mauro Icardi will run down his contract in Paris

Mauro Icardi had a brilliant time at Inter Milan. He went on to score 111 goals for the club in 188 appearances. During his time with the club he was also named the captain. And became the club’s eighth-highest goalscorer of all time.

Mauro Icardi went on to join PSG on a one-season loan deal with a €70 million option to buy. However, at the end of the season Inter Milan reached an agreement worth a reported €60 million.

Since his move to France things have been up and down for the Argentine. In this situation he has assured he would stay until the end of his contract.

Icardi posted on social media: “I’m in Africa, next year I’ll let you organise my holidays, if you like.

“These stories are a load of cr*p like every year. When I was scoring 30 goals a season it was the same thing. My career in the balance? I have two years left on my contract.

“I don’t think it’s in the balance as you suggest with this cr*p. At 29, don’t worry that having scored 200 goals, I think everyone knows me well enough.

“Then I decide to stay and make myself available. Thanks a lot and a big hug from Africa with the gorillas, the lions and all my friends who have more respect. See you soon.”
