Today, we witnessed Manchester United agree with Borussia Dortmund for Jadon Sancho.
Christian Falk is the one who has validated the information.
Falk has tweeted: “Sancho to Man Utd is a done Deal! Agreement between Dortmund and United. Signature of the contracts in the coming days.”
So, the official announcement will most likely be made later this week, too.
Therefore, after failing to sign this long-time top-target last summer, finally, Manchester United agree with Borussia Dortmund for Jadon Sancho.
Further, United has agreed to pay Dortmund €85 million, according to Sport BILD’s Sven Westerschulze.
Despite Borussia Dortmund’s attempts to negotiate a bigger overall fee, Manchester Evening News understands United have agreed to pay £72.9 million (€85 million) upfront with no add-ons.
Although, if Sancho qualifies for the bonuses, that are part of his contract, his charge might soar to €95 million.
But these are not the only monetary facts of this deal.
Manchester City Will Receive a Few Millions for Sancho
United and Dortmund have agreed on a deal for Sancho, which means that Manchester City will earn some millions, too.
We reported this news about the winger’s move profiting even City in our recent Man Utd transfers’ update.
Manchester City is thus ready to make millions after Manchester United complete a deal to trade Jadon Sancho this summer.
City will be keeping a tight eye on the situation, because they stand to pocket a portion of his price.
When Dortmund purchased Sancho, now 21, from City, the latter included a sell-on clause for £8 million in the agreement.
So, this summer, Pep Guardiola’s transfer fund will be boosted by 15% of any sale on Sancho. However, this sale should be above the price Dortmund paid them for the England ace in 2017.
At the current alleged price that United are buying Sancho, the Citizens will receive £9.74 million if the transfer happens.
