Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno has two years left on his contract with the Gunners. And Leno is not planning to extend his Arsenal contract, nor has he opened talks with the club over an extension yet.
The German goalkeeper joined the Gunners from Bayer Leverkusen in 2018. His current contract runs until the year 2023.
So, Leno won’t extend his Arsenal contract just yet and is instead “open to everything” in his future.
Future Talk
Speaking about his future, Leno confirmed that talks over extending his contract have yet to begin.
“Not yet and at the moment it’s not the time to speak about the future,” he said, per Goal. “I know that I still have two years left on my contract and I’m also 29. For a goalkeeper, that’s not too old. I’ve still got some years to go.”
“I’m very happy at the club,” he said about his stay at Emirates Stadium.
Leno Is Not Planning to Extend His Arsenal Contract
He continued: “I don’t know what will come in the future, but I’m open to everything. Maybe for a new adventure or to stay at Arsenal.”
“Like I said, I don’t think about my future because two years is a long time,” he added. “At the moment, there are no conversations with the club or anything else.”
