Leandro Paredes discusses World Cup, move to Juventus and relationship with Mbappe

Engaged in national duty in South America with Argentina, Leandro Paredes is still thinking of Juventus. The Juventus midfielder, interviewed by ESPN, explained the decision to accept the transfer to Turin. He joined the club this summer on a season-long loan which includes an option to buy.

Leandro Paredes explained the move comes down to him getting more game time. Which he felt was crucial to get himself on the flight to Qatar. The reason being the additions made to the PSG squad this summer.

The Argentine said: “Changing teams before the World Cup was not an easy decision, but I believe I made the right one. Being a consistent player for a major club was crucial to me; I had a dream of donning a Juventus jersey.”

Paredes then talks about his former teammates at Paris Saint Germain. While focusing on Mbappé he said, ” I can’t talk about Kylian. I’ve had excellent relationships with several teammates, but I can’t talk about someone with whom I’ve never had a human relationship”. Leandro Paredes concluded with a joke about Di Maria, “In accepting Juventus he too had value. I wanted to stay with Angel to have more fun with him and play together. For me it was very important.”
