Lazio sporting director Igli Tare has quashed speculation on the possible move from Ciro Immobile to Napoli.
The 30-year-old transferred to Lazio on July 27 and since his return to Italy has bagged 116 goals for the Aquile, including 27 matches this campaign in 26 Series A.
Sporting director Tare quickly moved to stop the rumours of a potential shift from spinning out of control, claiming the future of Italy remains at the Olimpico, say Football Italia.
“There has never been contact or a request from Napoli for Immobile,” he told Sky Sport Italia. “Also, because Immobile is Lazio and vice versa. I think, I hope and I want it to stay like that for many years.”
While Immobile is gunning a record of 36 goals in a single season for former Napoli forward Gonzalo Higuain, the Partenopei have appeared in association with the former Torino forward.
