La Liga Returns with Sevilla Derby

La Liga is back in style- with the Sevilla derby played first.

The season continued after a three-month break in Spain with a great match between Seville and Betis. In the big city derby, Sevilla beat Real Betis 2-0 in the 28th round of the Spanish La Liga.

Sevilla was better from the very beginning and in the first half the home team created several chances, but there were no goals.

Sevilla also dictated the pace of the game in the second half. The home side managed to take the lead in the 56th minute after Bartra fouled a penalty. Ocampos took responsibility from the penalty spot, scoring 1: 0.

Just six minutes later, Sevilla effectively ended the match with a second goal. From a corner, the ball came to Fernando who managed to make the score 2:0.

Betis tried to at least reduce the advantage until the end of the game, but in the end they did not succeed.

After this victory, Sevilla is still third on the table with 50 points, and has six points less than second-placed Real. Betis is in 12th position with 33 points.

Although the match was played in front of empty stands, Sevilla fans gathered in front of the stadium and their cheering gave a special charm.

In the end, the fans of Seville really had reason to celebrate because their team celebrated with 2: 0.
