Inter has confirmed that Romelu Lukaku has sustained a thigh injury, and is out of the Serie A match with Parma this weekend.
“Romelu Lukaku underwent an MRI scan at the Humanitas Institute in Rozzano this morning following a problem that arose during Tuesday’s Champions League game against Shakhtar Donetsk,” read a statement.
“The scans showed that he has suffered a strain in his left thigh. His condition will be monitored daily.”
The extent of the damage is not known, but it’s fair to assume that the Belgian will be out of the Serie A meeting with Parma on Saturday.
The striker played with Shakhtar Donetsk in Kiev in the 0-0 Champions League draw, but injured his thigh.
Now, the race is on to get him back in the Champions League against Real Madrid.
