Ibrahimovic’s Injury Will Not End His Career, Says Milan

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has not got an injury that will end his career, Milan has reported, as he nonetheless prepares to face a period on the side-lines.

During the training session with the Rossoneri on Monday, the 38-year-old suffered an untimely knock.

Ibrahimovic had been laid low by a calf injury but there were also reports that an Achilles injury pushed the modern-day star onto the treatment table.

Nonetheless, Milan is confident that there were no muscles snapped.

In a statement posted on their official club website, the Serie A giants said: “Milan reports that Zlatan Ibrahimovic confirmed injury to the soleus muscle of his right calf in yesterday’s training. The tendon in Achilles is fully intact.”

Any injury to the tendons in that region may have made it impossible for a professional athlete to make his way out. Fears about the Swedish player’s long-term fitness suggested that he might have to consider hanging his boots from the great range frontman.

But Milan reassures fans: “Control and examination will be conducted in 10 days.”

However, although Milan will indeed continue to track the condition of Ibrahimovic, a potential recovery is not placed on a time scale.

That ensures even if professional football returns in Italy, the former Juventus and Manchester United forward is unlikely to restart.
