AC Milan following Inter’s victory over the weekend had to match it to stay in control of the title race. The club went behind in the 38th minute but they were able to equalise before half time.

The Rossoneri were in control of the second half as they scored twice to register a 3-1 win. This means that as long as they gain at least four points from the remaining two matches, they will capture the Scudetto.

Managers’ reaction

AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli: “Too bad to go behind, we played really well in the first 25 minutes. Great deserved victory, it is a great satisfaction. Let’s think about the next one.

“We have been playing do-or-die games for a while, we can only prepare them as best we can and enter the field to give everything we have.”

Hellas Verona head coach Igor Tudor: “Milan had a good game, they deservedly won because they were better. We had a good match, but nothing more. I congratulate the Rossoneri.

“Milan play man to man, they have strong players to play this game. We had opportunities, but it’s clear to struggle against these great teams. It’s not easy, we tried. Too bad for the goal at the beginning of the second half, it made me angry because we talked about their counter-attacks on our corners during the week. Milan won deservedly anyway.”
