Rangers confirmed Ianis Hagi’s signing on a permanent deal after purchasing Genk’s midfielder after his six-month loan deal.
“I really enjoyed my loan spell at Ibrox and look forward to playing really soon in front of our supporters, so I hope all the Rangers fans and your families will remain healthy and happy for now,” Hagi told the club’s official website. “I’m ready to rejoin the squad for the pre-season and once again put on the famous jersey.”
Gerrard added: “Ianis is known as a young, exciting player in Europe so it’s fantastic news to see him join Rangers permanently.”
“Other clubs expressed interest, but my goal was still to return to Glasgow and play for Rangers,” Hagi explained.
