FSV Mainz 05 have signed Angelo Fulgini from Angers SCO on a four year deal. The club announced: “1. FSV Mainz 05 has strengthened its attacking midfield with French professional Angelo Fulgini. The 25-year-old comes from the French first division club Angers SCO and has signed a four-year contract until 2026 at Bruchweg, where he will wear number ten in the future. Fulgini has played 160 competitive games for Angers since 2017, scoring 24 goals himself and playing 17 more. The clubs have agreed not to disclose the transfer terms.”
Head coach Bo Svensson says: “Angelo was very keen to come to us, which was very important to us. With his footballing quality, he will strengthen us in attacking midfield. He is a tenth, albeit not in the classic sense, who works a lot for the team. In addition, Angelo is a really good guy who fits in perfectly with Mainz 05 and our style of play.”
“I wanted to play in the Bundesliga and there were a few clubs that were interested in me, but Mainz 05 is the right club for me.
