Zidane on Ronaldo Returning to Real: It Could Happen

Real Madrid head coach Zinedine Zidane has responded to a question about the possible return of Cristiano Ronaldo to the club.

“It could happen,” the coach told Marca.

He went on about the Juventus forward: “We know what kind of man he is, we understand what he has done in Madrid, but now Ronaldo is a Juventus player, you have to respect that. We know him and I am lucky enough to coach him.

“Ronaldo is a forward who is impressive. We’ll see what happens in the future. Right now, Cristiano is a Juventus player. He is happy to be there.”

There were reports that Ronaldo could return to Real Madrid this summer.

The Portuguese’s current contract with Juve expires in the summer of 2022.

The player has scored 23 goals in 23 Serie A games this season.
