United Shirts May Be Sponsored on a New Contract

Manchester United is said to be close to winning a new £70 million-per-year shirt contract.

The Sun claims that the 20-time English champions are close to reaching an agreement with a potential backer on a £70 million-a-year deal.

So, their relationship with Chevrolet as shirt sponsors is coming to an end.

United’s iconic shirts have been endorsed by the American carmaker since the 2014-15 season when they revealed their contract with the Red Devils in 2012.

The contract is said to be worth £64 million a year.

And although United’s seven-year deal with Chevrolet was set to expire at the end of this season, it was extended by six months due to the financial effects of the coronavirus pandemic.
