Real Madrid are not counting on midfielder Gareth Bale for next season. Real hope Bale will be bought by the Spurs, instead.
The Spurs haven’t yet bought Bale, they have first refusal on him.
Still, Real hope Bale will be bought by Tottenham, after his loan spell with them.
The Madrid side don’t want the Welshman to return at the end of this season, reports El Confidencial.
If this happens, the club will have to pay the 31-year-old’s wages for the last year of his contract. This salary is €15m, and money that the Madrid side do not want to part with.
It has been reported, further, that Madrid head coach Zinedine Zidane is adamantly against Bale’s return.
Bale has played 12 games in the EPL this season, scoring five goals and two assists.
And a deal for him could happen. After all, team presidents Florentino Perez and Daniel Levy have good relationship.
