Neymar and Kylian Mbappe have no reason to leave Paris Saint-Germain, at least according to president Nasser Al-Khelaifi. The PSG president says Neymar and Kylian Mbappe will stay at the club.
The pair have both been in talks with the Parisians to extend their stay at the Parc des Princes. In fact, PSG sporting director Leonardo hinted last week that he is expected good news on the matter soon.
And now, even the PSG president says Neymar and Kylian Mbappe will stay.
On Tuesday night, PSG won a 3-3 aggregate with Bayern Munich on account of away goals. After PSG secured qualification to the Champions League semi-finals, Al-Khelaifi spoke to Sky in Italy.
And the president seemed relaxed about the chances of tying down his two stars on new terms:
“I think that next year Neymar will be at Paris Saint-Germain and he will stay here for a long time.
“Him and Mbappe have no reason to leave.”
Neymar, whose current deal expires in June 2022, himself also reportedly confirmed that he is set to renew it.
“The contract extension with PSG is no longer an issue,” Neymar said to TNT Sports Brazil. “Obviously, I feel very comfortable and like at home here. I feel happier than before.”
