Pirlo on Losing to Porto: Hopefully Next Year We Will Make Up for It

Juventus crashed out of the Champions League in the 1/8 finals, losing to Porto (1-2, 3-2).

And Juventus head coach Andrea Pirlo has spoken out to Striscia La Notizia on his team’s poor showing in the Champions League this season: “Hopefully next year we will make up for it.”

He also commented on the criticism heaped on Cristiano Ronaldo after the 3-2 defeat to Porto: “It’s not just about him. We’ve made other mistakes which have cost us promotion to the next round. I will leave journalists to pass verdicts on Ronaldo.”

“For me, he will always be a real seven. It’s his number on the shirt,” he added.
