Paris Saint-Germain will be hosting Bayern Munich at the Parc des Princes tomorrow. The two giants will clash over the second leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter-finals. With the match set to start at 12:30 AM IST, Michael Owen predicts PSG vs Bayern.
PSG won the previous clash of the two in the first leg. This win was especially savory because they defeated their last year’s rivals, to whom they lost the UCL final, 3-2.
Now, they gear up for a home clash at the Parc des Princes Stadium in France. And they certainly seem to be this season’s favorites to win.
Owen predicts PSG vs Bayern:
Former Real Madrid and Liverpool striker Michael Owen has predicted how it will all go down tomorrow.
He told BetVictor: “PSG hold all the aces going into this as they welcome Bayern Munich to Paris. Making last year’s final, it seems that the Parisians are ready to again push for the elusive Champions League trophy.”
“Prior to the first leg, all the talk was around how much Bayern would miss Robert Lewandowski, however, their problems occurred at the other end, losing a couple of soft goals,” he said about the Munich club.
“That said, Bayern welcome back Alphonso Davies to their backline after a domestic ban. His experience at this level will no doubt benefit the visitors.”
About the guests, he continued: “Even though Bayern are trailing, I don’t see them going gung-ho from the outset.
“If they are prepared to sit in and allow PSG to have some territory, it could create opportunities at the other end.”
He then added: “The first goal is so important here, and if Munich can get it, I think it could send the holders on their way to another famous victory. It’s 3-1 Bayern Munich for me.”
