Mancini to Stay on as Italy Coach

Italy head coach Roberto Mancini is likely to continue coaching the national team, writes La Repubblica.

Under Mancini, Italy have qualified for UEFA EURO 2020.

But it was reported earlier that after the 2022 World Cup, the Italian specialist could leave the national team.

Now however, he has almost agreed to extend his contract with the Italian Football Federation until 2024.

It’s likely that Mancini’s new contract will be unveiled tomorrow, ahead of a training camp ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying games.

Mancini’s salary will likely rise from €2m to €3m for a year.
