Lewandowski: Players Shape an Era

Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski answered former German captain Lothar Matthäus in an interview, when questioned who he considers the best player in football history.

“There is no single player. Players shape an era,” Lewandowski said.

“You were such a player. The last 10-15 years – Messi, CR7, Ronaldinho. Before that, the Brazilian striker Ronaldo,” he continued.

“There are always incredible talents, players who just personify the pleasure of playing football. World stars are able to make complicated things look simple.”
