Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante is Champions League Player of the Week.
Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema, Manchester City midfielder Kevin de Bruyne and PSG midfielder Angel Di Maria also were contenders for the award.
But beating them without scoring a single goal himself, Kante is Champions League Player of the Week.
Kante also became the man of the match for the first leg of the Champions League semi-final tie recently.
After all, he delivered a heroic performance when he helped Chelsea dominate for most of the match.
In the 1-1 draw with Real Madrid CF, the Frenchman dished out 86% of accuracy in his passes.
Chelsea continued to dominate in the second half, despite the Premier League side losing their fluency.
The predominant credit for this must go to the incredible performance from Kante during entire the 90 minutes.
