After months of speculation, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been named in World Cup qualifying squad for March.
Following Sweden’s exit from Euro 2016, the 39-year-old declared his retirement.
His fraught relationship with current Sweden coach Janne Andersson also did nothing to indicate that he will ever return.
However, Ibrahimovic, reversing his decision to withdraw from international football, has been named in Swibraeden’s squad for the 2022 World Cup qualifiers against Georgia and Kosovo.
And the veteran forward took to Twitter to confirm news, with his usual humility, writing: “The return of the God.”
