Manchester City believe their main rival in the race to sign Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland will be Real Madrid.
The Manchester club want to sign the striker as a long-term replacement for Sergio Agüero.
The latter is likely to leave Man City this summer as his current contract expires.
The Madrid club are expected to take more serious steps to get Haaland, however, writes The Telegraph.
There have also been reports of the forward’s desire to move to Real.
Several European top clubs are thinking about buying the 20-year-old Norwegian in the summer transfer window.
Chelsea are showing interest in the forward, for instance.
Also, it has previously been repeatedly reported that he will be Barcelona’s top transfer target in the summer window.
Haaland has scored 21 goals in as many Bundesliga games this season.
