Costa Agrees to Join Benfica

According to Mundo Deportivo, Diego Costa has agreed to join Benfica as a free agent.

Costa is best known for his four-year stint with Premier League club Chelsea.

There, he won three major trophies, including two Premier League titles.

Overall though, in 474 senior competitive matches, the commanding Brazilian has 181 goals and 71 assists in all competitions.

The controversial but incredibly talented marksman has had a 15-year career, with spells at many top clubs.

Costa left Atletico Madrid in December to move to his home country in Brazil.

Costa, 32, has been a free agent since having his contract terminated by former club Atletico Madrid earlier this year for personal reasons.
