Bayern Munich Join the Race for Julian Nagelsmann

Tottenham may have to flounder to find a new coach as Bayern Munich join the race for Julian Nagelsmann.

Nagelsmann is among the favourites to replace Jose Mourinho, whom Spurs sacked just a week before the EFL final.

Poor performance this season, internal conflicts, Super League discord, may all have led to Mourinho being fired. It is not a secret that the former manager and Chairman Dan Levy did not get along.

The Young Coach

Nagelsmann is only 33 years old and already successful as the RB Leipzig head coach. The German team he leads are second on the Bundesliga table.

Naturally then, he is a top priority for the Spurs. In fact, we also deemed him to be the best fit for the job.

Now, however, Spurs’ desire to introduce a younger perspective at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium may be dashed as Bayern Munich join the race for Julian Nagelsmann.

They have opened negotiations with RB Leipzig in a bid to close a deal for Nagelsmann.

According to German journalist Manuel Bonke of Munich-based newspaper Tz, Bayern have initiated talks with Leipzig.

The German team, currently leading Bundesliga, are also looking for a new coach after Hansi Flick resigned.

Flick confirmed that he’d be stepping down from the post of head coach at the end of this season. He’s seems likely to lead the German national team next, because the national coach Joachim Low will also resign.

Moreover, it would take a considerable fee to compel the young coach to leave Leipzig, where he’s enjoyed success. The price to snatch him up, we believe, is between £13 million and £17 million.

So, Spurs, or even Bayern, may have a hard time securing his signature.

On the other hand, Nagelsmann has hinted that he would like to take charge off Spurs, if presented the opportunity.
