Arsenal winger Willian is in talks to leave the club this summer, with Brazilian club Corinthians leading the charge. So, among other transfer rumours, Willian may make a football transfer from Arsenal to Brazil in this summer transfer window.
Arsenal handed Willian a massive three-year contract last summer in order to sign him on a free transfer from Chelsea.
But after the 33-year-old’s debut season yielded just one goal in 37 appearances, the club is desperate to cut ties.
They wish to avoid paying him for the remainder of his contract and thus Willian may very soon be leaving.
Willian May Make a Football Transfer from Arsenal to Brazil
Arsenal have told Willian that he is free to leave Emirates Stadium this summer.
Indeed, Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano reports that Corinthians, a club in Brazil, have even made a formal offer to him.
And while we believe that Willian would prefer to remain in Europe, he is now allegedly seriously considering an exit.
He has thus inclined himself toward a return to his homeland, Brazil. After all, Brazilian club Corinthians are already waiting to sign him on a free transfer.
Indeed. the Daily Mail reports that talks between Willian and Corinthians are at an ‘advanced stage’.
While the two parties haven’t reached a final agreement yet, The Telegraph anticipates that they will finalize a deal soon.
