Transfer Rumours – Ronaldo and Messi May End Up as PSG Teammates

Khalifa Bin Hamad Al-Thani, who confirmed Lionel Messi’s transfer to Paris Saint-Germain, has hinted toward an even bigger transfer now. Al-Thani posted an image of Cristiano Ronaldo in a PSG shirt and hinted ‘Maybe?’, teasing fans about a football transfer. If we do believe these initial transfer rumours, Ronaldo and Messi may end up as PSG teammates, ending former rivalry.

Transfer Rumours – Ronaldo and Messi May End Up as PSG Teammates

Khalifa Bin Hamad Al-Thani is a member of the Al-Thani ruling family, which controls the Qatari state.

Along with this, though, they also own the French club in France’s capital Paris, Paris Saint-Germain.

Naturally, therefore, Khalifa Bin Hamad Al-Thani’s tweets about the transfer market and Messi’s situation have broken protocol throughout the summer.

Lionel Messi was a free agent for a long time before Barcelona announced that his contract would not be renewed.

In that time, Al-Thani regularly updated his Twitter account, assuring the Argentina international that a deal had been reached.

Today, meanwhile, there are reports that Cristiano Ronaldo wants to leave Juventus. And PSG have not completely ruled out the possibility of Ronaldo joining PSG.

Now, Al-Thani has stoked the fires by posting a photo of Messi and Ronaldo standing side by side. In this photoshopped picture, Al-Thani has edited both players to be sporting PSG jerseys.

The only caption to this wishful photo on Twitter, however, was “Maybe?”, written in three different languages.

But such a transfer in not a far-fetched fantasy. After all, PSG will inevitably be one of the few clubs that can afford Ronaldo’s €30 million per season salary.

The only hitch in this plan would presumably be Juventus. The Turin club must agree to sell their superstar, Ronaldo, at the price that PSG are suggesting.

Our intuition says that, just like Messi and Barcelona, Juve will do everything they can to avoid losing the former Real Madrid star.
