Franck Kessie has rejected AC Milan’s latest contract offer, amidst other football transfer news from the Italian Serie A club. Meanwhile, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, and Paris Saint-Germain all remain interested in signing the midfielder. So, Spurs, Reds, PSG want Kessi after he rejected Milan’s contract and even though the summer transfer window is up.
Kessie is in the final year of his current Milan contract, and the club is desperate to avoid a repeat of the Gianluigi Donnarumma situation, in that the club does not want its best players to leave as free agents after their contract expires, and instead sell them for a profit before that happens.
Spurs, Reds, PSG Want Kessi after He Rejected Milan’s Contract
However, despite such urgency, AC Milan has yet to agree on new terms with their star midfielder Franck Kessie.
And according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, they are no closer to tying him down on a long-term contract extension.
After all, he rejected their recent offer with a pay hike in the contract worth €6.5 million per year.
This has piqued the interest of Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, and Paris Saint-Germain in signing the 24-year-old for free next summer.
PSG previously took advantage of Milan’s inability to sign long-term contracts for star players.
They were the ones who swooped in to sign goalkeeper Donnarumma this summer after his contract at San Siro expired.
Meanwhile, both Tottenham and Liverpool would also be ideal destinations for Kessie. As it is, both of these Premier League clubs are desperate for a midfielder of his calibre.
