Inter started quiet actively having the most of possession which bore fruit after just 10 minutes into the game.

At the 10th minute, Hakan Çalhanoglu forced Franck Kessie into a mistake in his own box. And then he cold-bloodedly converted a penalty against his former side.

Rossoneri have won all but one of their 11 games so far and were never going down without a fight. And they proved such good Serie A form yet again, as Inter’s goal spurred them into life.

Sandro Tonali’s teasing delivery caused havoc in the box. Stefan de Vrij was the unfortunate defender who steered a header past Samir Handanovic. The Inter player accidently restore the parity for Milan just 6 minutes after Inter’s opening goal.

An action-packed opening quarter finished with yet another Inter penalty – this time far more clearly.

Matteo turned Darmian Fode Ballo-Toure inside-out. And in a desperate attempt to deny Darmian a clear strike on goal, Ballo-Toure fouled the Italian in the area.

But in this penalty opportunity, Lautaro Martinez stepped forward this time but a fantastic Ciprian Tatarusanu save denied his strike.

The Argentine came close to avenging his penalty miss before the break. But as he twisted and turned in the box, he dragged his effort inches wide of the post.

The second half, however, was nowhere close to the first in terms of intensity. Simone Inzaghi introduced Arturo Vidal in a desperate bid to claim all three points, and the Chilean almost did so.

But two blocks by Pierre Kalulu interfered. Eventually, the final whistle recorded another riveting Milan derby clash, and this one ended in a 1-1 tie.
