The English Premier League have handed out their awards for last month, that of October. For the English domestic top flight, Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah and Chelsea’s Thomas Tuchel are the big winners. And while Salah is Premier League’s Player of the Month, Tuchel’s the best coach for the month of October.
Mohamed Salah from Liverpool has won out from an 8-men list that also included Ben Chilwell (Chelsea), Phil Foden (Manchester City), Maxwel Cornet (Burnley), Tino Livramento (Southampton), Aaron Ramsdale (Arsenal), Declan Rice (West Ham United ) and Youri Tielemans (Leicester City).
At the same time, Thomas Tuchel, head coach for Chelsea, was the winner from a four-man shortlist, beating Jurgen Klopp (Liverpool), David Moyes (West Ham United) and Patrick Vieira (Crystal Palace).
They are two winners because of the votes from the public as well as those from some football pundits.
Salah Is Premier League’s Player of the Month, Tuchel’s the Best Coach
Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah has become the Premier League Player of the Month for October, the league’s official website repots.
Starting with a magnificent individual effort against Manchester City at Anfield, the Egyptian has registered 5 goals last month. Not only this, he has also claimed 4 assists for Liverpool in October alone.
And this is the fourth time the Egyptian star has earned the award but it’s his first since March 2018.
Meanwhile, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has claimed the Manager of the Month award for October, Premier League’s official website reported.
It is the second time the German wins the prize, having first done so in March 2021.
The 48-year-old German has led his side to victory in all four of their domestic matches in the last month.
It started when Chelsea maintained a 3-1 victory at home to Southampton, followed by a hard-fought 1-0 success at Brentford.
Tuchel’s men then won 7-0 over Norwich City. And then, Chelsea finally ended their month with a 3-0 win at Newcastle United (football prediction). That match was also one in which they were claiming their third clean sheet in a row.
