Rooney Blames Manchester United’s Poor Performance on Its Players

Former Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has accused Ole Gunnar Soskjaer’s squad of a lack of effort in their fixtures. Currently the Derby Count manager, Rooney blames Manchester United’s poor performance on its players (football today) and not the coach.

People are prone to put pressure on Manchester United head coach Ole Gunnar Soskjaer for the team’s lack of form. So much so, the manager and United loyalist almost lost his job over a brief dry spell (the football news).

Indeed, United are rife with scandalous football transfer news, with Paul Pogba seeking an exit path soon, maybe in January. Beside these transfer rumours, Ronaldo also had surprising news to share – he and his partner Georgina Rodriguez are expecting twins.

But the root of all this drama at Manchester United is their players’ poor form, or so says Wayne Rooney.

“They are very educated people at the top of Manchester United,” Rooney began, as per Daily Mail.

He continued: “I am sure they will be looking to see how they move forward in the near future, whether that’s with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer or without.

“The players have to question themselves and look at themselves. It’s too easy for the manager to take all the stick when those players are being paid a lot of money to do the job and I don’t think they are doing it well enough.

“There’s a big responsibility on those players. They are world-class players, international players and a club like United need more. Those players need to feel hurt when they lose games.

“There are high demands at the club, high pressure, and I’m seeing too many players not willing to run back, to defend, to put everything on the line and that’s not acceptable.

“Are you telling me that’s the manager’s fault or the players’? I don’t know.”
