Premier League Football Results – Spurs Won 3-0 over Norwich at Home

A stunning goal from winger Lucas Moura helped Tottenham Hotspur win a 3-0 home victory over Norwich City on Sunday. So, among other Premier League football results, Spurs won 3-0 over Norwich at home, at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

This win has lifted Spurs into fifth place, 10 points off the top of the table. Now, with a game still in hand, they have secured 25 points from 14 matches. This means that new manager Antonio Conte is continuing his good work with the club.

“I think we have a good mentality. Step by step we work very hard a and try to put on the pitch what Antonio gives us. Our style of play is aggressive now with a lot of intensity. We are doing very well,” Lucas Moura, who scored Tottenham’s opening goal, said after the 3-0 triumph.

On the other hand, this 3-0 was the first defeat for Norwich City since Dean Smith took over as manager. Devastatingly, though, this defeat left them at the very bottom of the Premier League table.

Moura fired Spurs into an early 1-0 lead when he skipped past Norwich midfielder Billy Gilmour.

Actually, in this match, Norwich dominated possession but could not break Conte’s well-drilled defence, with Spurs quick on their counterattack.

Norwich striker Teemu Pukki almost seized a third-minute lead but instead hit his shot straight at Spurs goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.

Moura played a nice one-two with teammate with Son Heung-Min in the 10th minute. He then delivered an accurate, laser strike from outside the box straight into the top left corner of the net.

Norwich City were then well-placed to equalise soon after halftime, but Adam Idah spurned a close-range chance. He had the goal at his mercy after Pukki had miscued an initial effort, but it was all in vain.

Defender Davinson Sanchez doubled Spurs’ deep in the second half. He drove home the ball from close-range after it fell to him following a corner.

And finally, Son sealed a comfortable victory shortly after, slotting home from defender Ben Davies’ layoff in the 77th minute.
