Barcelona anticipate that their young midfielder Pedri is not to return until 2022 because he’s suffering through a thigh injury. So, among football results from the Catalan club, Pedri cannot play for Barcelona until 2022 due to a muscle injury.
19-year-old youngster Pedri, who recently won the Golden Boy award, has been dealing with an injury issue throughout the season.
But despite such chronic ailment, Barcelona rushed him back for the match against Benfica on September 29.
And, unsurprisingly, this playing stunt only worsened the teenager’s injury and began a nightmare that will last a few months.
Pedri’s rehabilitation relapsed twice since sustaining the injury, the most recent being just minutes after he resumed careful on-grass training.

As part of his ongoing effort to revitalize the club’s medical facilities, new manager Xavi Hernandez has involved himself here. Xavi has been keeping a close eye on the situation with Pedri’s long-standing injury.
And now, according to AS, the decision has been made to fully restart Pedri’s recuperation.
According to reports, Xavi and his staff discovered certain flaws and imbalances in Pedri’s earlier recovery plans.
So, they’ve restarted the process in the hopes of ultimately finding a means to get rid of the thigh ailment.
Unfortunately, Pedri’s 2021 stint is now effectively over.
In fact, Barcelona’s club doctors have already informed Xavi that the 19-year-old will be unavailable for at least another month.
Pedri has been available for a 2021-22 season in which he played a staggering 74 games for club and country.
But now, Barcelona appear to have finally understood that they have to respect the limits of his body properly.
Fortunately for Xavi, this latest setback comes at a time when Barcelona’s midfield injury situation isn’t too awful.
