Official Football Transfer News – Manchester United Sacked Solskjaer

Manchester United have just announced that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has left his role as a manager. Also sharing this heartbreaking, but perhaps necessary, development on their Instagram’s official football transfer news, Manchester United sacked Solskjaer yesterday.

On Saturday, Manchester United returned to the English Premier League play after November’s international break with a visit to Watford. While our football prediction called for an easy win for the Red Devils, the hosts obliterated them 4-1 in reality.

This, just as their Champions League campaign’s first loss to Young Boys (football results), was an indictment of Solskjaer’s abilities.

The result is this – Manchester United have fired their loyal head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, with nothing but utmost respect.

“Ole will always be a legend at Manchester United and it is with regret that we have reached this difficult decision,” the club’s official statement says.

“While the past few weeks have been disappointing, they should not obscure all the work he has done over the past three years to rebuild the foundations for long-term success.”

“Ole leaves with our sincerest thanks for his tireless efforts as Manager and our very best wishes for the future. His place in the club’s history will always be secure, not just for his story as a player, but as a great man and a Manager who gave us many great moments. He will forever be welcome back at Old Trafford as part of the Manchester United family,” the statement finished.

Now, henceforth for the near future, interim manager Michael Carrick will be the one to take charge of the team. In the meanwhile, the club will be looking for a full-time head coach to appoint.
