Official Football News Today – Sarri is the New Lazio Head Coach
Simone Inzaghi departed Lazio at the end of May following a successful five-year tenure at the Stadio Olimpico. The former Italian international will now take over at Inter.
Meanwhile, Sarri rapidly established himself as a front-runner to replace him at the Lazio job. And, amongst other transfer news for coaches, the club just gave him a two-year contract.
Lazio finished sixth in 2020-21. But Sarri hopes to repeat their result in 2019-20 when they qualified for the Champions League after securing fourth-place.
He’ll surely want Ciro Immobile, Joaquin Correa, Luis Alberto, and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic to stay. They will help the club’s hopes of returning to Europe’s top table.
