Newcastle United Have Joined the Race to Sign Dusan Vlahovic

Newcastle United are hoping to flex their new football transfer budget against the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham, and Manchester United. They wish to beat their Premier League rivals to the signing of Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic. So, among other football transfer news today, Newcastle United have joined the race to sign Dusan Vlahovic from Italy.

Dusan Vlahovic, who is currently a striker with Fiorentina, may move to the EPL on a deal worth over £100m.

The Magpies became the wealthiest side in the Premier League when a consortium and the Reuben Brothers, purchased the club.

Newcastle’s ownership shifted from Mike Ashley to the consortium that the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund (PIF) run for £305m.

Now, the PIF alone worth around £320bn as a rough estimate. This alone makes them significantly wealthier than if we combined all of the other 19 owners in the Premier League.

However, Newcastle United are in desperate need of reinforcements at St James’ Park as they’re currently heading towards the Championship.

Eddie Howe’s side is, in it’s present state, stagnant below the dotted lines of English Premier League relegation.

To save themselves from this fate, Newcastle United are planning an audacious transfer bid for Fiorentina hitman Dusan Vlahovic.

They are willing to indulge in an exorbitant pay out in the region of €100 million (£85m) for the Fiorentina man.

So, according to Italian outlet Calciomercato, Newcastle may be preparing a €100m (£85m) offer for the Serbian hitman.

Arsenal have also shown avid interest in Vlahovic, but Newcastle will seemingly simply outbid them if they really want the striker.
